Just wanted to drop a note to say thanks to James Ford for their excellent customer service. When I bought my GT500, I noticed that the black paint had a number of swirls and light scratches already in it. This has been the case with pretty much every black car I’ve ever owned, so I expected it, but was a bit displeased. I mentioned it to the dealer in passing, and they jumped on it, offering to either pay for me to have another shop buff it out or to give me a rental car and do it in house.
Additionally, Jim Brandt (who appears to be someone fairly high in the food chain there) spent a good amount of time emailing back and forth and talking with me personally about old hot rods and racing and such. I really can’t say enough about what a great experience this was, and if you are looking for a new Ford, give them a yell.
And now, a few pics of the finish post-buff:
